GK Controls was established in 1977 to supply electrical components to panel builders and electrical contractors in the North West of England. Our first distributor partnership came with British Brown Boveri control gear (BBC) this included ASEA, STROMBERG and PETERCEM. These companies now trade under the global name of ABB of which GK Controls is a proud member of the ABB Low Voltage Strategic Industrial Partner network SiP. Other major brands soon followed and GK Controls became a leading distributor for Klockner Moeller control gear, Moeller Electric an EATON brand as it’s now known. Products stocked in-depth from Moeller include Contactors, Relays, Push Buttons, Easy Relays, MCB’s, Isolators, RCCD’s, Inverter Drives etc. Since founded in 1977 GK Controls has grown into the successful business it is today. As one of the leading independent suppliers of motor control gear, automation and safety products in the North West we have added product ranges from well known suppliers including ABB, MOELLER an EATON brand, ETA Enclosures, KUHNKE relays, SICK sensors and Safety Products, WALTHER, ENTRELEC Terminals, MAYSER Safety Sensors and Safety Mats, DATASENSOR-DATALOGIC, MURR ELEKTRONIK, IDEC ELECTRONICS, CARLO GAVAZZIto name a few.
